- Profile and onboarding answers, such as first name, goals, GLP-1 context, restaurant habits, dietary constraints, preferred restaurant types, and recommendation preferences.
- Restaurant and menu inputs, including restaurant selections, pasted menu text, item choices, menu screenshots you choose, OCR text, and feedback about menu data.
- Saved orders, recommendation feedback, app settings, privacy preferences, and subscription entitlement status.
- Location information when you choose to use nearby restaurant features.
- Usage and device information used for app analytics, diagnostics, product improvement, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
- Support communications, including your email address and the content of messages you send us.
How We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve SkinnyBite.
- Generate restaurant ordering guidance, alternatives, estimated nutrition, swaps, confidence notes, and saved-order history.
- Process subscription access and restore purchases.
- Respond to support, privacy, and data-deletion requests.
- Monitor app performance, diagnose issues, protect the service, and understand product funnels when analytics are enabled.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Health And Nutrition Information
Some information you provide may relate to wellness, nutrition, diet, goals, or medication context. SkinnyBite uses this information to personalize general restaurant ordering guidance. SkinnyBite does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication guidance, or clinical nutrition counseling.
AI And Service Providers
SkinnyBite may use third-party service providers for backend hosting, AI processing, analytics, subscription management, crash and diagnostic support, storage, and customer support. These providers process information only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support SkinnyBite.
Payment information is processed by Apple through the App Store. SkinnyBite does not receive your full payment card number.
Analytics And Choices
SkinnyBite may use analytics to understand onboarding, paywall, restaurant, recommendation, saved-order, and settings flows. You can turn off product analytics in the app settings. Some operational or security-related data may still be processed as needed to run the service.
Location And Photos
Location access is used only when you choose nearby restaurant features. Photo access is used when you choose a menu screenshot or menu photo so SkinnyBite can extract menu text for recommendations.
Disclosure Of Information
We may disclose information to:
- Service providers that host, operate, analyze, secure, or support SkinnyBite.
- Apple and subscription-management providers for app subscriptions and entitlement status.
- Professional advisors, legal authorities, or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Successors or counterparties in a business transaction, subject to applicable law.
Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide SkinnyBite, improve recommendation quality, support users, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may aggregate or de-identify information and use it as permitted by law.
Your Choices And Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email privacy@skinnybite.app to make a request. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Children
SkinnyBite is not intended for children under 13 in the United States. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, SkinnyBite is not intended for users under 18.
International Transfers
SkinnyBite is operated from the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
